Booking Identifiers

Manage absence booking identifiers under Settings > Attendance & Absence > Absences > Booking Identifiers. Booking identifiers define the types of absences available in your system, such as Vacation, Sick Leave, or Special Leave.

Each identifier has a name, an optional custom ID for reports, a category, and a color for visual marking in calendars. To create a new identifier, click Create new booking identifier and configure the desired settings.

Absence Policies

Each booking identifier can be linked to an absence policy that defines entitlements and calculation rules (e.g., annual vacation days calculated in advance). For each linked policy, you can see the policy name, the number of assigned employees, and the calculation mode. Once an absence policy has been assigned to an identifier and is in use by employees, it can no longer be changed or removed.
