Projects

Manage projects for time tracking under Settings > Attendance & Absence > Projects. Projects use a two-tier structure with folders for logical grouping (e.g., by customer or department) and the actual projects within those folders that employees can book their time to.

For employees to book time to projects, project assignment must be set to required or optional in the corresponding attendance booking identifiers.

Creating a Project

When creating a project, you enter a name, an optional action ID, a description, and set it to active or inactive. Additional details include the priority, project type (internal, customer, maintenance, development, research, support, or other), business owner, and project manager. You can also add customer information with name and reference number.

For time tracking and budgets, you can define a start and end date, a time budget in hours, a financial budget with budget type (fixed price, hourly rate, or time and material), and assign a cost center. Additional identifiers like an internal order number or WBS element are available for ERP integration.

Access Restrictions

You can restrict project access to specific teams, departments, or booking identifiers. Project administrators can be assigned for individual project management. Internal notes, tags, and up to 10 custom fields are available for further organization.

Project Evaluation

The project detail view shows booked hours, approved and open bookings, budget utilization, and which employees have booked time. You can view time progressions by day, week, or month, and export booking details per employee.
