Cost Centers Import
The cost centers import allows you to import multiple cost centers into the system simultaneously. This is particularly useful during initial setup or organizational restructuring.

Data import is only available with a paid subscription.
Access
Navigate to General → Data → Imports and select "Cost Centers" as the import type.
Excel Template
The cost centers import template contains the following fields:
Required Fields
- Name - The name of the cost center (required field)
- Cost Center Number - The unique number of the cost center (required field)
Important Notes
- Check before import whether cost centers already exist
- Duplicate cost center numbers will cause an import error
- The import will be cancelled if duplicates are found
Avoid Duplicates
Format Requirements
- Name: Maximum 100 characters
- Cost Center Number: Numeric or alphanumeric, maximum 20 characters
- No special characters: Avoid special characters like @, #, $ in the name
- Uniqueness: Each cost center number may only appear once

Error Handling
Common Errors

After Import
- Check imported cost centers under Settings → Company → Cost Centers
- Assign cost centers to employees or departments
- Configure cost center-specific settings
